Singer/songwriter Diana Lorden's personal, intimate pop/rock style depicts everyday struggles and triumphs with a disarming honesty and vulnerability. Her music combines catchy, memorable melodies and choruses with complex, layered harmonies and textures. Diana's first album "Fighting Gravity" was released in 2001 on her own label, Iris Records

Born in Arcadia, California, Diana was classically trained on piano and violin and was composing her own music by the age of 10. "Writing music was the only way I knew  to express my emotions" she reveals. After college, Diana put aside a career in genetics research to devote herself full time to music. The songs on “Fighting Gravity” reflect a deeply personal struggle to conquer depression, tragedy, and self-doubt while trying to pursue her dream.

Diana's songs have been featured in a CBS TV movie of the week (Sharing the Secret, with Mare Winingham), an award-winning independent film (The White Boy, directed by John Marino), and in TV and radio ads and promotional videos for the Avon 3-day walk for Breast Cancer. With the recent birth of her son, Adam, Diana is taking an indefinite hiatus from live performing. However, she plans to be back on stage and in the studio soon.

"Her multi-talented display on violin, keys, and vocals is mesmerizing."
